Ever Tried a “Cordless” Carpet Sweeper?

Now if that didn’t get your attention, you’re just not focused on saving the planet with one small action at a time. No matter. It’s never too late to begin. One way might be by choosing to give a “cordless” carpet sweeper a whirl for smaller jobs around the house.

We’re talking about a device that picks up lint and dirt from your carpet without using electricity. Yes, that does translate into people power to push, but it’s not that bad, unless we’re talking a considerable amount of shag. And it does that too.

So basically, this is the inside equivalent of the push reel mower; the great news is that, unlike the lawn at your cottage, your carpet won’t outgrow it. Push reel mowers are not the best option when you’re faced with a crazy lawn. I suggest a sickle instead.

Another positive point that should be considered is that these sweepers can be used to get rid of dirt from outdoor carpets too, in addition to tiles and non-carpeted floors.

In terms of deep cleaning, it won't replace the trusted vacuum cleaner, but is an extremely useful tool to have around. It's particularly useful in the summer when you would like to make sure your outdoor pathways are nice and clean because you have guests coming around.

You know what we're talking about here - hair, crumbs, dust and dirt.

When scouting for a carpet sweeper, there are a few things to take into account. You’ll want to pick up something lightweight, but well built, with a protective bumper and nicely-designed dustpans responsible for collecting your debris. Be on the lookout for something that is very portable, perhaps even collapsible, for easy storage, along with sturdy brushes and a metal handle. Pick one with accessories and a good set of wheels.

It could be said that it is similar to one of those old-fashioned tillers. With a difference though - the opposite effect on whatever you have planted in your field.

This household time-saver will enable you to keep things tidier in a more efficient way, especially with a house full of children and pets. How many little spills and hairballs can you log in a week? You get the idea.

Note that for maximum efficiency, you’ll want to check and empty the dustbin after each spin. That way you won’t have to stop midway through the job.

Due to the fact there is no electricity moving through the unit, you can maintain it differently. Say for example it needs a little clean in order to improve the picking up of dust, all you need to do is dampen the brushes.

Investing in a quality product means you will likely be able to use it for a long time time to come. This means nice clean carpets indoors and outdoors.

Don't waste another day - go and get yourself a cordless carpet sweeper and be kinder to the environment. You know you want to. The planet will thank you for it.
